Meet Talemetry: The New Name for Talent Generation

What’s in a name? When you’re a brand competing in the hyper competitive $140 billion recruitment services market, plenty. As every marketer – and consumer, for that matter – knows, a name is more than a brand. It’s a promise.

We chose Talemetry, a combination of talent – our core competency and product focus, with telemetry. Telemetry, for those of you a little rusty on your classic languages, comes from the Greek roots tele, which means remote, and metron, or to measure.

This highly automated, highly analytic monitoring is, in short, the science behind the art of talent – the same combination of automation and personalization that’s becoming an increasingly prevalent part of recruiting today.

When we launched Talemetry in February 2011, we knew we had a solution that was unique in the industry – and one that didn’t fit neatly into the traditional talent management buckets.

That’s why we had to create an entirely new category: talent generation. We saw the Talemetry software solution doing for recruiting what marketing lead generation software, like Marketo or Eloqua or Hubspot, did for sales force automation.

These SaaS solutions not only changed the marketing game, but also rewrote the rules. And in over two years of working with some of the world’s biggest brands to help them solve their most critical and complex recruiting challenges, we’re confident that we’re doing the same thing in recruiting.

These marketing software solutions generate better leads while monitoring and optimizing the effectiveness of individual campaigns, generating more revenue and decreasing associated costs. Similarly, Talemetry’s talent generation software sits on the front end of the talent acquisition funnel, helping organizations find, attract and engage better talent more efficiently and effectively, adding value while driving real results and improved ROI. That’s the bottom line.

Of course, there are a lot of point solutions out there that provide one piece of the talent generation puzzle, but we made it our mission to deliver a solution that covers the entire talent generation lifecycle. Our software was built with the needs of today’s recruiters in mind, offering solutions like social and mobile recruiting, deep web sourcing, semantic search and CRM, one click job posting distribution, branded career sites and microsites, seamless resume parsing and extraction, and more – all designed to support even the largest, most complex recruiting challenges.

As Talemetry enters its third year on the market, we’re continuing to deliver solutions to meet those challenges. Our global customers are rolling out new targeted career sites and microsites that exponentially increase their number of applicants while consolidating disparate resume databases to make sourcing and screening millions of candidates simple, scalable and seamless.

Our clients are able to more effectively track and manage recruiting spend with meaningful metrics and advanced analytics, and amalgamate high tech with high touch to deliver improved candidate experience, a better hiring experience which ultimately leads to better hires. We’ve also deepened our partnerships with leading applicant tracking and ERP systems like Oracle and SAP Successfactors, providing a vendor agnostic solution which provides seamless integration and instant access to over 400 recruiting service providers through the Talemetry Vendor Network.

It’s been a long journey, but today, with over 200 successful implementations at some of the world’s biggest brands who are realizing real business impact – and better hires – with our software suite, we’re at a point where talent generation, the category we’ve created, has become an accepted, and integral, element of the talent acquisition conversation.

That’s why this week, we’re changing our name from Talent Technology Corp. to Talemetry Inc. This name change reflects our increased focus, and total commitment, to advancing talent generation – and the business of recruitment – through our suite of software solutions.

As part of our new corporate identity, we’re also rolling out our new website,, giving our current and potential customers and partners a concise overview of our software while digging deeper into the challenges, solutions and value Talemetry delivers.

This is the first post on our new blog, Talemetry Today, which will serve as a platform to share meaningful customer stories, deliver research and perspectives on talent generation and stay on top of the news, views and trends shaping our industry – and the business of hiring.

At this critical inflection point for our company, I wanted to take a moment to thank the customers and partners for trusting us, for challenging us and for continuing to support our growth as a company, and as a technology.
